It's a Myth that Amazon Kindle e-Readers is more Closed and Locked-In than Kobo e-Readers

Amazon Kindle is a very open eReader that is very easy to sideload eBooks to. Easier than with a Kobo e-Reader because you can do it wirelessly on a Kindle. And you can use many different formats - EPUB, AZW3, KFX and still even MOBI on a Kindle without problems. So it’s a myth that Kobo devices are more open. Both Kobo and Kindle are equal closed systems if you buy from their respective stores. Kobo store or Kindle Store. No difference.
