If the rumors are true this year, that the iPhone 7 will have almost the same design as the iPhone 6s, then I think one reason for that is that Apple will focus on iOS 10 this year.

I believe they will make iOS more professional, and add features for their ”professional” iOS devices. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and a coming 5.8-inch iPhone Pro.

Hopefully they will make it possible for developers to release more ”desktop-class” apps for iOS. Like Final Cut Pro X, Logic Pro, Photoshop, Xcode and more.

I think iOS 10 will get features for all that this year, and I think that’s one reason why Apple is focusing on iOS 10 this year, and not the iPhone. They are trying to make the iPad even more professional. They want it to be a real desktop/laptop computer replacement this time.

So on this WWDC keynote in June we will see a lot about iOS 10, but we won’t see all the features that Apple has planned for it. They will still keep some iOS 10 features secret until it’s time to reveal the next version of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro this fall.

That’s what I believe.

And as I’ve said before, then I rather wait for next year’s iPhone instead. If the rumors are true, there is no real need to upgrade the iPhone this year if you already have the iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s plus. It’s still incredibly fast, powerful and awesome in every way.

And next year’s iPhone looks to be an incredible upgrade, a device I’ve been waiting for.

Here is a video where I talk about Apple focusing on iOS 10 this year:
