The excellent e-reader, Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition from Amazon, comes with a light sensor that auto-adjust the brightness depending on the light conditions in the room you are in or if you are outside reading ebooks. When I got my Kindle Paperwhite the light sensor was way of and even raised the front light in a very bright room where you definitely doesn’t need any brightness on the e-ink display. So in the tutorial below I show you how to calibrate the light sensor so that the auto-adjust brightness feature works correctly. It’s easy to do so just follow along.
