The Musicrow Group - White Crow v1.0.1 (Pc)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
White Crow is a virtual monophonic synthesizer with a very distinctive sound (listen to the sound demos) that uses a unique synthesis method called Phase Distortion Synthesis.
Phase distortion synthesis is a synthesis method introduced by Casio in its CZ range of synths. This synthesis method has an "analogue" character that can be described as clean and sharp.
White Crow takes Phase Distortion a few steps further, with two super PD oscillators, phase distortion envelopes & LFO, special signal flow design and an advanced effects section.

White Crow VSTi, like the original Casio CZ synths, offers 8 basic waveforms: saw, square, pulse, doublesine, saw-pulse, reso1, reso2 and reso3. A second set of (identical) waveforms can be added to create new unusual waveforms.

Each of the two PD oscillators is made of 5 sub oscillators that can detuned for the creation of fat rich sounds. The phase distortion amount of each oscillator can be modulated by 2 ADSR envelopes, an LFO, and the velocity. This will affect the sound timbre over time instead of the regular filter modulations. You can also use the lowpass filter though, as an additional sound shaping tool.

White Crow includes an advanced effects section with Phaser, Chorus, Reverb, Distortion and two types of delays.

White Crow: phase distortion never sounded better!
