Digidesign launches Pro Tools 8. A professional DAW.

High-quality amplifiers simulation thanks to Digidesign’s acclaimed new guitar amp emulator Eleven Free as well as Tech21 SansAmp amplifier emulator by Bomb Factory

Pro Tools 8 is expected to be available in late 2008. No information of price yet.

I have a Mac and use ProTools 7.4. Sure, it has a few differences but it's very similar to my older version when I used the OSX Panther. The older version didn't give me problems when exiting as I am encountering with 7.4. Here's hoping they fixed that issue in version 8.
