Brooklyn, New York artist and musician Jameson Proctor (aka JP1971) released MxNM LE for the launch of the Apple iPad App Store.
MxNM LE (for Mix N Match MIDI Live Edition) was designed to bring wireless touchscreen control to Ableton Live. It does so by sending industry standard MIDI control change messages over a local WiFI network; therefore it can be used with many other popular audio and MIDI applications as well with minimal configuration. MxNM LE offers a total of 135 buttons, pads, and sliders, making it a perfect companion for your laptop to perform and produce computer music.
MxNM LE is the first in a series of controllers Proctor plans to release for Appleʼs innovative tablet computing platform. Future releases will include a studio mixer controller and a DJ controller as well as MxNM, which will take the mix and match idea to its logical conclusion by offering the user a fully reconfigurable control surface.
