Dark Side Of The Tune launches Twisted Cistern, a sample library with sounds captured in an abandoned reservoir at the Fort Worden cistern in Port Townsend, Washington.
"On a Rainy Northwest Day Something moves beneath the ground, echoing through pillars once consumed by water. The abandoned cistern at Fort Worden, formerly a bulwark against military attack, has surfaced as Dark Side of the Tune's latest venue for experimental sound, delivering space and dimension from a subterranean refuge.
Here, instruments become something more. Drums turn into droning sub-sonic waves. Tortured toys come to life. Dripping water and distant rumblings from ships collide with the space. The result transports listeners to a truly dingy Northwest environment."
