Drafts is a Text Editor / Note Taking app that makes it really fast and easy to type text and send it to any app or service. It’s my new favorite app. It’s in my iPhone dock now. That is how good it is.
Drafts is a different kind of note taking app. In Drafts, text comes first – open the app and get a new, blank draft. Don’t get bogged down in a timeline to tweet or post to Facebook. Don’t tap through multiple screens to compose an email or SMS. Don’t navigate folders, create files and name them just to jot down a note or create a todo. Drafts is available for both iPhone and iPad.
Some of the Drafts Features:
- Quick Capture
- Easy Storage, Search and Lightning Fast Sync
- Flexible Output
- Markdown Support
- Themes, Fonts and Gestures
- Terminology Integration
- TextExpander Touch support
- Word and character counts
- Link mode makes captured phone numbers, web links and addresses tappable
- (iPad only) Enhanced keyboard
- Landscape and Portrait support
Drafts has a lot of sharing and app actions already built-in, but if that is not enough, you can also send the text to external apps.
Here is a growing list with external apps that is supported:
- Twitter Tasks
- Tweetbot
- Echofon
- Buffer
- OmniFocus
- Things
- The Hit List
- Appigo Todo
- Phraseology
- Simplenote
- Byword
- WriteUp
- Writing Kit
- Threadnote
- Agenda
- Day One
- Due
- Quotebook
- Sparrow
- Bang On
Drafts is a perfect app to write in and then decide what to do with it. For example share it on social networks, saving it to Evernote or DropBox, or maybe send it as an email or SMS?
I can highly recommend Drafts.
