How to add Safari's "Reader Mode" on Android

One of the things I miss on Android[1] that iOS[2] has, is the Reader Mode in the Safari Web Browser.

It’s very easy to fix for Android though. Here is how:

  1. Install Instapaper Text Bookmarklet in Chrome on your desktop computer
  2. Sync your bookmarks with Chrome for Android
  3. When loaded an article in Chrome on Android, type the name of the bookmarklet and hit return
  4. The article converts to a beautiful and very easily read article automatically directly in the browser
  5. Enjoy!
