Google has released an incredibly cool new feature. Now we can integrate Google+ comments on our own Blogger blogs! Like this blog for example.
And I think that is awesome! Because now we can have the complete Google+ interaction that is so great, on our own blogs. Comments are content, and I have never seen so great interaction that I have seen on Google+. Never been near it.
I don't care that users need to have a Google+ account or a Google+ page to be able to comment. There is so much more benefits with this. I rather have the great Google+ discussion automatically on my blog, than having one or two comments or so a month that I had before this...
I choose interaction and discussions over openness this time.
Some of the things this new feature can do:
- View your blog and Google+ comments, all in one place. Now when you're browsing your blog's comment threads, you'll see activity from direct visitors, and from people talking about your content on Google+. If there's a public Google+ discussion about one of your blog entries, those comments and replies will also appear on your Blogger blog.
- Help readers comment and connect with their circles. Your blog readers will now have the option to comment publicly, or privately to their circles on Google+. And when they're browsing blog comments, they can view all of them, just the top ones, or only those from the people in their circles. You will only see the comments you have permission to see. Giving people these kinds of controls not only encourages more meaningful sharing—it can lead to more blog traffic.
This is great for page views and SEO too, because now your blog posts gets very lively and active again, and Google Search loves posts that changes much.
I really hope that Google will make the same with YouTube and YouTube comments. I would love to have Google+ comments integrated with YouTube. That would be awesome! I hope that is the next step for Google and Google+ comments.
Please start commenting and enjoy the new Google+ commenting system on this web site :)
