sony ifa 2013

Update:

Here is some of what Sony presented:

42-inch and larger-size TVs are leading the way for Sony

2,000 European stores are getting native 4K content and 4K Bravia TVs

There's one-touch remote, one-touch listening, one-touch mirroring ... all in all, one-touch is an efficient and of course easy to use function." Kaz promises there'll be more than 100 products that are one-touch enabled by the end of this year.

HDR-MV1 music video recorder. It's basically a handheld camera with a couple of "high-precision" microphones attached.

a new ActionCam, with added Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS.

a Wi-Fi Live View remote that you can wear on your wrist. A pretty neat combo: you can strap the cam to your helmet and monitor your recording on the wrist.

The VAIO Fit and VAIO Tap 11 get a recap

Also a new 4K handycam

Two new models added to Sony's 4K Bravia TV range. Thinner bezels, always a good thing. 65- and 55-inch models that include Sony's Triluminos display technology

a 7.1-channel sound bar to go with those new TVs

Sony is really going for 4K this year

And now the Sony Xperia Z1!

Black, white, and purple back covers, looks much like the Xperia Z. As earlier reported many times

The Xperia Z1 is the absolute embodiment of that one Sony ethos. The One Sony i've been talking about the whole year

Up to 3x "clear image zoom" with "zero, zero loss of image quality."
BIONZ for mobile image processing engine, a G Lens, and a 1/2.3-inch camera sensor.

Timeshift burst takes 61 images within two seconds - 30 before shutter is pressed, one when you do press it, and 30 more after.

The G Lens, the Exmor RS sensor, and the BIONZ processor, all those parts came from Sony's Cyber-shot and Alpha camera lines.

Sony's also opened up its camera software and is encouraging developers to add even more functionality to it.

PlayMemories Online is Sony's cloud storage service, which automatically organizes your photos and offers unlimited storage. Available in Germany, France, the UK, the US, Canada, and Japan. - I really hope they add Sweden soon....

SmartWatch 2 "will start hitting stores across the globe later this month."

The QX100 and QX10 are compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

So that was Sony's press conference, to me it was very impressive,  the Sony Xperia Z1 and the new smartshot cameras that you can use together with any smartphone were very exciting to see!! Sony here I come, No more Samsung for me...  by the way, no strange press conference either, very good, not as Samsung's always is...
