My Sony Xperia Z1 got Android 4.3! - I'm back on the LG G2 again

My Sony Xperia Z1 finally got the Android 4.3 update, and the installation went fine and all. I can’t see any real difference from Android 4.2.2 though, no new settings or new look or anything. To be honest, Since Jelly Bean I don’t think fast updates are so important anymore, I have both been running Android 4.3, and Android 4.4 KitKat on other devices, and there is no serious difference really. Not if you already run the Google Experience Launcher (GEL) at least. Jelly Bean is enough on high end devices.

The things I miss

The Sony Xperia Z1 is a great device and it runs really smooth without any lag, but I miss a lot of things from the LG G2. For example the IR remote.. I use the remote control app a lot, and that was the first thing I noticed that I missed from the LG G2 after using the Sony Xperia Z1 as my main phone again.

Other things I miss from the LG G2, is the Knock Knock feature, the really handy Quiet Mode, fast SMS reply, the better display - the Xperia Z1 has a really bad display, I admit that now, the more I use the LG G2, the more I see that, and of course, the most important thing I miss: A better form factor. Smaller and lighter phone but with bigger screen.

So I am once again back on the LG G2, running Android 4.2.2, and I love it.

Update: And the battery life seems to be worse on the Sony Xperia Z1 now, after the Android 4.3 update…
