Write for Mac - another great writing app, now available as a free beta

The excellent text editor app for iPhone called Write is now also available for Mac. Write make it possible to write notes using Markdown[1] and sync them using Dropbox in a nice, clean and beautiful way. Write for Mac is available as a free beta that will expire after 7 days.

Write for Mac also has it focus on simple editing just as the iPhone version, and has inline Markdown rendering, and you can organize your notes from multiple sources from your Mac, and the app integrates iCloud and Dropbox syncing.

You can export your writings as RTF, PDF, printing, e-mail or as HTML.

Once Write for Mac is ready, it will be sold in Mac App Store.

  1. Markdown is a lightweight markup language, originally created by John Gruber and Aaron Swartz allowing people “to write using an easy-to-read, easy-to-write plain text format, then convert it to structurally valid XHTML (or HTML)”. See more posts tagged MarkDown.  ↩
