Apple is getting ready to launch its rumored TV box with support for video games in the coming weeks, according to a new report. A source who is familiar with Apple’s plans says the company will not wait until its annual developer conference to release the product to the masses.

Could it be the new version of the Apple TV? If that's the case, maybe that's one reason why Apple added support for third-party game controllers in iOS 7? Of course would such a TV device run on iOS and having the Apple AppStore filled with apps and games to play. I don't play games but I like the idea of such a new model of the Apple TV.

It could be hard for Apple to keep the incredibly cheap price of the Apple TV though, but hopefully they don't need to raise the price too much.
