According to an IDC market research firm are Apple's iPad Pro outselling Microsoft's Surface tablet.
Released in November, the iPad Pro sold more than 2 million units in the fourth quarter, while Microsoft sold about 1.6 million Surface devices, most of them the high-end Surface Pro and not the entry-level Surface 3 device, said Jean Philippe Bouchard, IDC’s research director for tablets, in a news release this morning. The research firm said the iPad Pro was the top-selling tablet in the category known as detachables.
To me that totally makes sense. The iPad Pro is a topic performing device with a huge eco system connected two it. And with a very large app store that grows everyday.
And also with the tight connection to the iPhone - the most popular smartphone in the world, the iPad Pro has a huge benefit over the Surface device. People simply prefer iOS devices.
