In the video below, I show you how to use a VPN on iOS. It works the same on both the iPhone and iPad. In this example I use NordVPN, but you do about the same with any VPN. I also talk about why you should use a VPN. It's about your privacy and security. Everyone should use a VPN. Don't use a free VPN though, because they sell your data. They have to get something from you. Nothing is free on the Internet. So, use a professional VPN that you have to pay for. And go for a trusted one. NordVPN is one of the best, and I highly recommend it. It's awesome. Very fast and reliable servers. Plenty of features.
If you don't use a VPN, your Internet provider, your ISP see everything you do. Even if you are using secure HTTPS sites. The reason for that is that you are leaking your DNS requests. And don't use Firefox or Chrome on iOS, because those web browsers can leak your IP through WebRTC. Even if you use a VPN. Use Safari web browser. It's the safest and most private browser you can use on iOS.
And again, don't get me that "I have nothing to hide," because it's not about that, it's about your rights to your own privacy. Why should you give out your personal data to your Internet Service Provider, or any other third party actually? So they can sell the data about you to advertisers, governments or anyone else? Take back your privacy by using a VPN.
It's a necessity nowadays.
