With iOS 15 and above, you can use Live Text to copy and share text directly from the camera or within photos, translate languages, make a call, and more. Live Text recognises useful information within your photos and images you have downloaded, so you can make a call, send an email, or look up directions with just a tap on the highlighted text in a photo or image. You can also use Live Text directly in the Camera app. Just point your iPhone or iPad camera at a photo or image with text, then tap the indicator icon.
The feature is quite well hidden in the iOS settings. So here are the steps to activate it:

- Open Settings app
- Go into General
- Go into Language and Region
- Scroll down to the bottom and activate Live Text
