I am using my iPhone 13 Pro Max as an eBook Reader because the best e-book reader is the one that you always have with you. I started this experiment to see the differences and comparison with dedicated eReaders. I compare the experience with my Storytel Reader and my Kobo Libra H2O running KOReader. I mainly use Storytel and Apple Books to read books on my iPhone.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max has got an excellent display with Pro Motion that goes down to 10 Hz (10 FPS) when reading books. That means that your eyes doesn’t get so tired and you don’t get headaches as easily. The display is also a lot brighter than other phones so it makes it a lot easier to read outside. In iOS you can use Focus mode that you have setup to get rid of all distractions too. The iPhone display even fit more content on the screen than the Storytel Reader do. I show that in the video. So I think the iPhone 13 Pro Max is an excellent eBook Reader.
