E-Readers and Readwise and Readwise Reader support and what you can do with it

Readwise and Readwise reader are excellent apps and services for reading. It works great even for ebook reading. You can send highlights and notes from basically any e-Reader, like Kobo, Kindle, Pocketbook or any Android based e-Reader. And of course on iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets too. But you can only install the Reader app on iOS and Android based devices like Onyx Boox, Bigme, AIPaper and many more. The service is very expensive so is it worth it for an ebook reader like me?
